Frequently Asked Questions
Why is it called Dancers Bridge?
The name began with Cayenne, Ashley’s soul dog. As a puppy, Cayenne taught herself to flip through the air whenever she wanted a treat, and Ashley started calling her “Tiny Dancer.” Cayenne became a driving force behind Ashley’s passion for rescue, so the name Dancers Bridge was created in her honor—a bridge from a dog’s past to a loving forever home.
How can I help?
Share Dancers Bridge posts, become a foster family, donate rescue supplies, volunteer for transport or veterinary trips, or donate through the website.
I see a dog I’m interested in… what happens next?
Submit an inquiry via the contact form or simply fill out the Adoption application. After review and discussion, a Meet and Greet and then a home visit are scheduled before a final determination is made.
I’m thinking about fostering but it seems hard/sad/exhausting/time consuming…
Fostering is all of those things, but it is also rewarding, heartwarming and satisfying. A foster home gives a dog safety and love while we determine the best next steps. There is no specific fostering timeline because needs vary.
